The Proof of the Pudding is in the Eating, Olympic Stories

Hi folks,

The Proof of the Pudding is in the Eating.
For starters (rather than desserts), we’ll elaborate on the adage “The Proof of the Pudding is in the Eating”.  Well, I’ve been stating for a while that the gym workouts featured on our website, within our books, and on our free-to-download app are all born from gym routines that have helped people achieve success to achieve a certain physique or goal within a chosen sport. The GP Shuffle workout app goes a little further by throwing up the “shuffle” option to change either a workout or exercise to a suitable alternative, something I’ve naturally done myself or with clients for many years in order to increase variety or just where the gym may be busy. The proof that the app works comes from the many thankful emails I've received thus far from people losing lost fat, becoming more toned, increasing muscle mass etc. all thanks to the GP Shuffle workout app, which is truly excellent.

Some readers may have also followed drug-free bodybuilder Matt (our Exercise Demonstrator) on Facebook. Matt used GP Shuffle gym workouts in the lead up to his most recent competition, where he became the three-time Natural Physique Association South West Middleweight Champion. Below are some images of Matt that show what can be achieved naturally (free from drugs) following workouts provided by GP Shuffle.

Matt said “I used the app in preparation for my competition to showcase what an effective tool it can be. I won! Enough said. :-)

Projects in the Pipeline

Hi all,

Just thought I’d touch base with you (please excuse the idioms today).

As mentioned a few weeks back, new articles will be a little scarce over the coming weeks as I’m currently working on a few projects for you (they should be well worth it!). Luckily we’ve got lots of useful articles and information already on the database, so be sure to use our website search bar if you have any queries. In particular, with bad weather setting in this week (in my part of the world), I’ve opted to go back in the gym for cardio workouts (I've still been there for  weight training of course) and have been reminded of the cardio workouts I’ve added previously to the site. Remember, we’ve got loads of treadmill and cross-trainer workouts already on the database. I’ll be adding more cardio workouts again soon – most likely cardio combination workouts next (it bores me staying on one piece of kit for too long). For treadmill and cross-trainer workouts check out the links below:

Also, remember we added loads of new dumbbell workouts during July, so be sure to check them out here: Dumbbell Workouts

Anyway, as regards the projects, what are they?

Workout Book. Firstly, we’ve got the paperback version of Home Gym Workouts: Gym Ball & Dumbbell Workouts for Women on the way. I’ve yet to receive and sign off the draft, but it should be ready for release next month (all being well). The book features multiple workouts for progression (from beginner to advanced) and exercise illustrations. For more info, please visit the current eBook page here: Home Gym Workouts: Gym Ball & Dumbbell Workouts for Women

Free Exercise Vids. We’ve started making steps towards compiling our exercise database with video demonstrations. We’ve got a top physique athlete doing these for us, so they should be very, very good. There are so many to get through though, I think early New Year is a sensible time-frame for these (particularly given the other projects). I’ll message again when they’re up, but be sure to subscribe to our YouTube Channel in readiness here: Gym Professor You Tube Channel

Merchandise. We’ve also been asked for branded T-Shirts and Hoodies etc. A friend of the Gym Professor site is going to sort out some designs, so we hope to have these ready before November. Be sure to wear yours down the gym :).

Free Workout App. The major time-consuming factor at present is a free workouts app, which I’ve mentioned before. I’m really excited about this project as there’s no other app like it, plus, more importantly, it works. I’ve trialled the concept with a few athletes and clients so far and it really is superb. Anyway, I won’t give too much away right now (in fact, I won't give anything away), as I’m tirelessly working on the background information required. I hope to be able to set a launch date of Christmas/ New Year, but I’ll update you with our progress along the way.

I hope you can enjoy your weekend! If you decide to sit down and relax to watch some of the games kicking-off the NFL season, consider an NFL-style power training workout to kick-start next weeks training, see: NFL Power Training Gym Workout

All the best,

GP
