Gym Professor Newsletter October 2015

Hello :)

Since our last newsletter, here's a few new articles for you, below. I hope you find the articles helpful.

Barbell Deadlift, with Eddie Hall
Eddie's been training with my new Deadlift Deadener product this summer, so, given the opportunity to meet up with him for a deadlifts workout, how could I pass? The answer, I couldn't...I quizzed Eddie on all sorts over several hours and have included some of his tips and training habits in this article:

Why Have I Become so Weak? Minor Joint Injury Explained
A look at why gym-goers go as weak as a kitten in certain movement patterns through injury, even though they may be so strong in others.

Bulgarian Split Squat for Muscle Activation and Pelvis Health
My take on performing the Bulgarian Split Squat and why it's a good choice for maintaining or achieving a neutral pelvis. Includes a video demonstration and some suggested workouts.

We also now have our Deadlift Deadener invention in stock. You'll see that it heavily features in our Barbell Deadlift article with Eddie Hall. Sales and user feedback has been phenomenal...I was only told today "The Deadlift Deadener is fantastic, I get in so tight to the bar and already my deadlift is more efficient and I've hit a new PB. Every gym should have them!" The success of the product will help further in the development of our Gym Professor enterprise and the free articles, advice and work that we offer. If you like what we do, please check the Deadlift Deadener out and share them with your friends online.

All the best,

Matt

Introducing the Deadlift Deadener

Hi there,

Just a quick newsletter to let you know about a new Gym Professor product, the Deadlift Deadener. In short, it's a pair of rubber arch bridges that serves to cushion a deadlift between reps and forms a reverse-arc around the weight plates; this massively reduces the impact by increasing the surface area over both the weight plate/s (around 35 times greater) and the floor (around 50 times greater). Therefore, bars, weights and your gym floor will last much longer without damage.

As a by-product, it can also help you become more proficient at the deadlift by avoiding any misalignment in the lift and practising that perfect straight vertical bar line; this was something highlighted to me by Eddie Hall. I contacted Eddie a couple of months back and introduced the Deadlift Deadener to him, he could see the benefits straight away and pointed out some technical benefits to the deadlift that I hadn't even really considered, and I'd been using it for months already.

Anyway, here's the man himself to show you...

...check out Eddie's video on Facebook, as he offers some great deadlift advise and it heavily features the Deadlift Deadener within his training:

Struggling with deadlift technique? Stuck at a weight and can't progress?THE DEADLIFT DEADENER Correct techniques by implying a straight line technique letting you know if your technique needs adjusting and also great for reps, use it as a cushion to protect floors, weights and your back. Cutting out the shitty rubber pads/mats found leaning against a wall in the back of the gym. Get these deadlift deadeners to do things properly.Watch the video for a full demo. Big and small pads available!Available from:-www.DeadliftDeadener.co.uk and www.TheGymRevolution.co.uk And visit and follow the gym professor on FB page:-http://www.facebook.com/GymProfessorFor awesome tips and techniques on loads of gym exercises.RegardsThe Beast

Gym Professor Newsletter July 2015

Hello,

Since our last newsletter, we have 4 all-new exercise articles for you; 3 of them include a video demonstration and workout tips. Here you go:

Reverse-Grip Pull-Ups
The training short-cut to hitting the back and biceps. We take a look at this multi-lever/ multi-muscle exercise and provide some helpful technique tips to work the back and bi's to the max.

Lever Low-W-Press
My modern-day homage to a weight training classic - a W-Press performed in a landmine. This is a great variation and when used in the suggested superset really hits the entire shoulder complex.

Farmer's Walk
One of the simplest of exercises to perform and yet it certainly doesn't get any easier. Check out this article on the modern-day classic that is Farmer's Walk.

Drag Curls
Almost every guy in the gym performing half-a-dozen exercises for biceps, but I never see this one: Drag Curls: and it's one of the best. Look better in a tee and feel the burn, with Drag Curls.

Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube Channel and 'Get Notifications' on our Facebook, as there's lots of helpful hints and video reviews that we post that never make it to the newsletter. Please find the links in the footer.

Cheers, and may your training be happy and successful!
